‘Que it Forward
At Apostle ‘Que, it is not just about making quality bbq; it’s about serving others in our community. We wish to be a vessel for you to give back to our community by offering a ‘Que it Forward program, where we welcome you to purchase a ‘Que Special.
Your 'Que Special ticket will be displayed in the front window for a future customer feeling down on their luck or just having a tough day may redeem.
For any unredeemed 'Que Special tickets by the end of the Quarter, we will partner with a community organization to serve the remaining 'Que Special meals to those who need them.

For unredeemed ‘Que Special meals we are actively seeking where to serve.
On Tuesday, October 22, 2024, we had the privilege of serving 275 BBQ plates to volunteers, police officers, firefighters, and the community of Black Mountain, NC. These meals were already paid for by our incredibly generous customers who chose to ‘Que it Forward.
Each plate was handed out with love and appreciation, and we were deeply moved as we heard stories from those we served. It was a humbling reminder of the strength and resilience of our Country and the Black Mountain Community.
Here are just a few of the amazing people we had the honor of serving:
Team Whimsy Disaster Response + Community Service pulled in, loaded up supplies and headed out to keep serving the community! They shared their next adventure in Black Mountain is to welcome a group from Conway, Arkansas and build 8 tiny houses in a week!
Andrew Taylor and his mighty crew from Faith Baptist Church in Johnstown, PA, who are traveling in a van around Black Mountain, loaded with chainsaws and big hearts, lending a helping hand to anyone they see, living the real definition of being the hands and feet of Christ.
Sara Nichols and Ian Baillie who are using their gifts, talents, and passion for solar energy to get the community up and running quickly while many residents still wait for their electricity to be restored.
Andrew with The Pure & Proper , a local downtown eatery, who has an incredible love and passion for his community.
The brave men and women of the Black Mountain Fire Department, Town of Apex Fire Department and Black Mountain Police Department who are brave and stand firm in their commitment to serve their community.
The heartfelt resilience of the entire town, from Josh Harrold, Town Manager to HR, Finance, Projects & Facilities to public works, landscaping crews, countless volunteers and their perseverance of love for their community is truly inspiring.
It was truly uplifting to see people from all over this country come together, lend a hand, and show up for those needing help. In the midst of so much devastation, there is an overwhelming sense of hope, unity, and love.
